How do I make a lesson plan?
Follow one of our sample lesson plans or go rogue and make your own! Our different subject and age group pages will inspire you to create new, code-integrated, learner-centric learning experiences for your students.
How can I share my work?
Intro2Coding depends upon people like you uploading and sharing your lesson plans, coding projects, and ideas with the rest of the community. Find the appropriate forum category and upload your ideas there.
I really like someone else's lesson plan, but I want to make a few changes. Can I?
Yes! By uploading their lesson plan, they have indicated that they want to contribute to our community's knowledge base. This means that you are welcome to remix, redevelop, or try out their lessons in your own classroom (or maybe just in your imagination). You can post your remix of their plan, too, so long as you give the original creator credit.
Who is Intro2Coding for?
We envision Intro2Coding as a one-stop-shop for coding lesson plan ideas for K-8 teachers, but our community is open to anyone interested in technology, teaching, and learning. Our examples are largely from British Columbia curriculum and goals since that is where we're based.
Who made this site?
Our team is made up of three graduate students in the University of British Columbia's Masters in Educational Technology program, plus one undergraduate student in computer science (whose original background is education). We're all excited about sharing our love of technology and coding and its potential to be integrated into a wide variety of subjects.
